Where were the first motor cycles to be produced?

During the early days of motoring there was no distinction between motor vehicles and bikes. The first engine to be named a motorcycle was designed during 1893. Around 1860 people attempted to attach the steam engines to the tricycles, but the motors were sluggish and strong. Gottlieb Daimler in Germany and Edward Butler in Britain dealt with gas engine cycles about 1880. In 1893, Hildebrand and Wolfmuller of Germany designed a motorcycle capable of running for 38 kilometers an hour. Motorcycles have quickly become common. In 1895, de Dion and Bouton of France designed a motorcycle with a thin, light-weight petrol engine.
